Is laser eye treatment painful?

No. We anaesthetise your eyes with eye drops; the laser doesn't touch your eyes. You may feel a slight pressure during the treatment and a sensation of having something in your eye (a foreign body) for some time afterwards. However, the treatment itself is pain-free.

A few hours after Femto-LASIK, you may still experience blurred vision, a slight burning sensation, or a sensation of having something in your eye (a foreign body). These symptoms should disappear the following day.

For the first five days after Trans-PRK treatment, you may experience a sensation of having something in your eye (a foreign body), a burning sensation, sensitivity to light and red eyes. After the first five days, our specialists remove the protective contact lens, and the symptoms should disappear.
